Lots of soil

Soil delivery

EB from Ramona delivered the soil for the raised beds.  11 yards were shoveled into to the beds.  The soil contained chicken manure which smelled for days!

Newly built raised beds at the old adobe

After much discussion the park built the raised beds in the Estudillo adobe courtyard.  They are made of rough hewn redwood and look like they may have looked in the 1800's. Underground irrigation was installed and soil was brought in by Slow Food San Diego and the beds were ready to plant.
